This special event is a chance for us to celebrate the achievements of our Year 11 and 13 students.

Students, parents, staff and some special guests will gather in the school hall on Friday June 10th 2011 at 7.00pm. Following the formal part of the evening all attending will be welcome to spend time together over supper.

Achievement Evening sees the presentation of Records of Achievement (ROAs) to all graduating Year 11 students. The ROA’s are folders containing a range of evidence of each student’s achievements, academic, social and cultural. Thus IGCSE certificates will sit alongside sports citations and summaries of charity work. The ROA’s are intended to give long service as the ‘containers’ for future achievement-related documents. We very much hope that many students will one day be inserting degree and masters parchments into their ROA’s for safe keeping.

Year 13 students will be receiving academic prizes from the school as they prepare to either take a ‘gap’ year or proceed to university.

Achievement Evening is always an emotional as well as an enjoyable evening. For a significant number of students it marks the end of 15 years at the International School.

All graduating students become alumni or ‘Old Internationals’ and are encouraged to keep the school posted regarding their future achievements, although we do realise that we are in stiff competition from ‘Facebook’ for their attentions!
