The International School Seychelles is a non-selective school. There are no entrance examinations of any kind, although senior staff will often request an interview with the prospective student and his/her parent/s in order to provide information about the school and answer any questions the family might have about any aspect of the school.
However students applying to join the sixth form are required to meet certain academic expectations, principally to have attained 5 IGCSE passes at grade B or above (or an internationally recognised equivalent). Students will need to have a grade B minimum pass in each subject they wish to study.
Usually students will be placed in the appropriate year group according to their age on the 1st September of the academic year in which they are applying to join the school.
The timing of admission varies. Many classes are full with waiting lists. Where this is the case the school will do everything possible to expedite the earliest possible date for admission and may be able to advise with regard for alternative educational provision whilst the family is waiting for their child to begin schooling at the ISS.
No fees are payable until the child commences, or is about to commence school.
